Life at Don De Dieu
School life at Don De Dieu is more than lessons. It is friendship, play, good food, caring teachers and a family atmosphere that helps children feel at home.
Each school day is carefully planned to balance learning, play and rest. Children arrive in the morning, settle into their classrooms and start the day with greetings, prayer and a short warm-up activity.
Class time includes literacy, numeracy, creative work and life skills. Between lessons, learners enjoy short breaks to relax, use the playground and share snacks.
We know that a hungry child cannot concentrate. At Don De Dieu School, learners have access to food at school so that they can stay focused and energetic throughout the day.
Food arrangements are organised with parents at the beginning of the term. We encourage healthy, child-friendly meals and clean drinking water for all learners.
Meals are available at school so that learners do not have to go home hungry. Details of the menu and contribution are shared with parents.
Short snack breaks during the day help children recharge. We encourage healthy snacks and ensure access to safe drinking water.
Details about meals (menu, cost, special diet) are agreed together with parents so that every child is well cared for and families are comfortable with the plan.
We understand that distance and safety are important for families. For this reason, school transport can be arranged for learners on selected routes.
Transport is provided based on agreement between the parents and the school. This includes which routes are covered, pick-up and drop-off points, and the contribution towards transport costs.
School life at Don De Dieu is full of small moments that help children grow in confidence, creativity and character.
Drawing, colouring, singing, dancing and role-play are part of the weekly routine, helping children express themselves and build confidence.
Outdoor play and simple sports give learners time to move, have fun and develop teamwork and coordination.
Teachers and staff pay attention to each child’s wellbeing, giving encouragement, guidance and support throughout the school day.
Good school life depends on strong partnership between the home and the school. We keep close communication with parents through meetings, messages and reports.
We encourage parents to share concerns, celebrate achievements and walk with us as we guide children in their learning journey from Nursery to Primary and beyond.
The best way to understand school life at Don De Dieu is to come and see it. You are warmly welcome to visit and observe how our learners spend their day.
